About the program

The Society Of Emergency Medicine India (SEMI) And Care Institute Of Health Sciences (CIHS) Has Partnered With Alfred Emergency & Trauma Centre And Monash University, Australia To Develop An Exceptional, World-class Training Program For India.

The Trauma Resuscitation Workshop Is Aimed At Practicing Doctors With Extensive Experience In The Specialties Of Emergency Medicine, Critical Care Or Anaesthesia. The Two-day Program Will Offer Participants Hands-on Experience In Managing Basic And Complex Resuscitative Procedures In Key Areas.

The Sessions Will Lay Emphasis On Acquiring Hands-on Skills To Manage Patients With Complex Multiple Injuries – Both By Practice On CADAVERS, As Well Hi Fidelity MANIKINS.

  • Lateral Canthotomy

  • Venous Access: MAC lines, RIC lines, Intra-osseous lines (blue and yellow 25 & 40 mm)
  • Venous cut-down
  • Transvenous pacing
11:15 am – 11:45 am Morning tea
11:45 am – 12:30 pm ICC's: chest tube insertion
12:30 pm – 1:30 pm Video laryngoscopy and surgical Cricothyroidotomy
1:30 pm – 2:15 pm Lunch
2:15 pm – 3:00 pm Resuscitative thoracotomy
